From a very young age, Jake showed an entrepreneurial spirit. Often accompanying his father at the office on weekends, he would set up a makeshift cubicle, emulating his father’s dedication. While make-believe, Jake’s eagerness to adopt his dad’s work ethic bled into all areas of his life as he transitioned from child to young man to adult.
This work ethic serves as the foundation for his sales role at 4GEN Bearing, where Jake combines his manufacturing knowledge, sales savvy, and enthusiasm for connecting with the customer. Moreover, going the extra mile is in Jake’s DNA. As an intern, he got in the habit of sending handwritten thank yous to his customers. In fact, there aren’t many things that excite Jake more than making the customer happy. And like his father, uncle, grandfather, and great grandfather before him, Jake wholeheartedly believes that “No!” isn’t the end of the conversation, it’s the beginning. An opportunity to develop dynamic and exciting new relationships.
Philanthropically, Jake is eager to make a difference in the world in which he has been afforded many blessings. He is a member of the Young Professionals Council for Camp One Step – a non-for-profit organization dedicated to providing empowering, supportive, educational and fun experiences for children who have been diagnosed with cancer. Jake also serves as the Next Gen Liaison for The Spungen Family Foundation.
Outside of the office, Jake brings this same zeal to Chicago sports. To say that Jake is passionate about his Chicago sports teams, namely the Blackhawks, Bears, and Cubs, would be an understatement of seismic proportions. In his spare time, Jake enjoys playing golf, staying active, and traveling. Next on his list: Norway! An avid animal lover, Jake will be getting a puppy in Spring 2021.
